With peak season in full swing, campfires and BBQs are everywhere. But one unattended flame can spread fast in dry conditions.
Don’t leave it till it’s out:
✔ Pour water on it
✔ Stir it up to ensure no hidden embers

Smoking Butt Disposal - Dry Summers
Late summer heat can turn dry lawns, mulch, and yard debris into quick-burning fuel and even small sparks can cause major problems. Carelessly tossed smoking materials are still one of the top causes of preventable outdoor fires.

Before you walk away, take a second to do it right:
✔ Fully put it out (no smoke, no heat!)
✔ Use a proper ashtray
✔ Keep cigarette butts out of gardens, planters, and landscaping

If you did, remember to re-stock it! If you don't have one, now is the perfect time to put one together with your family.
Recent weather conditions have shown us how quickly emergencies can happen.
Being prepared can help keep you and your loved ones safe and comfortable when the unexpected occurs.

✅ Include the following in your emergency preparedness kit:
🔦 Flashlight and extra batteries
💧 Bottled water
🥨 Non-perishable snacks
📻 Battery-powered or hand-crank radio
🩹 First aid kit
💊 Essential medications and medical supplies
🛏️ Blankets
🎲 Games, puzzles, books, or activities for children and family members
🥫 Canned food and a manual can opener
Remember to store your kit in an easily accessible location and check it regularly to replace expired items and refresh supplies.

Have you tested your smoke and CO alarms this month? It only takes a few seconds and could save your life.
4 simple steps:
1️⃣ Press and hold the TEST button until the alarm sounds
2️⃣ Listen for a loud, clear signal
3️⃣ Check all interconnected alarms sound throughout the home
4️⃣ Inspect for low-battery warnings, dust, or damage

🚁 Day 4 – Drone Demo-Forcible entry-Keiser Challenge- throw bags!

Our junior firefighters witnessed our drone operators in action, learning how aerial technology supports safety and emergency response.

They are practicing using a throw bag, took on the Kaiser Challenge, and watched our Firefighters use forcible entry — all key skills that build confidence and teamwork.

It’s been a great day so far, full of learning and excitement. Our future firefighters are doing a fantastic job! ❤️🖤🤍
