When people hear "youth centre," they often picture one thing.

The FORT is so much more.

We're a place where young people can grab a healthy meal, connect with friends, meet with a professional counsellor, learn practical life skills, participate in workshops and activities, or simply spend time in a space where they feel safe and supported.

Every young person walks through our doors with different experiences, strengths, and challenges. That's why there's no one-size-fits-all approach to what we do.

Whether someone stays for five minutes or five hours, our goal is the same: to make sure every young person knows they belong.

Every young person's story is unique, but one thing we hear time and time again is how meaningful it is to have a place where they feel welcomed, supported, and accepted.

This is why the FORT exists.

Behind every meal served, every conversation, every workshop, and every counselling session is a young person finding connection, confidence, and hope for what's ahead.

Thank you to the youth who trust us with their stories.

When we say the FORT has provided more than 10,000 units of service over the past 10 months, we're talking about so much more than a statistic.

We're talking about meals shared, conversations that mattered, safe spaces after school, professional mental health counselling, life skills learned, friendships built, and trusted adults showing up day after day.

Every unit of service represents a moment of care. On their own, they may seem small—but together, they tell the story of a community investing in its young people.
