Collection for the 2026 Census is well underway across Canada, and there is still time for Canadians to complete their questionnaires online at census.gc.ca. The online process is confidential and secure.

Census data help municipalities better understand and plan for the needs of their communities, including services and infrastructure related to housing, transportation, emergency services, child care, health care, and community planning. These data support local decision-making and help ensure resources and services are aligned with changing population needs.

For households who have not completed their census or submitted incomplete questionnaires, census employees may follow up in person or by phone. Every census employee will clearly identify themselves and have an identification card.

Know the rules before you ride.

Under the Traffic Safety Act No. 1132, Section 7, Sub-section 7.7, bicycles are not permitted on sidewalks within the Town.

An exception applies to bicycles with a wheel diameter less than 50 cm (20 inches), typically childrenโ€™s bicycles.

Please use roadways and pathways where appropriate to help keep sidewalks safe for pedestrians.
