CAA workers in London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph and Cambridge have been on strike since Oct. 29. The main issues are wages and working conditions and the workers, organized with Teamsters Local 879, have been holding rotating pickets at each south central Ontario store. On Feb. 4, Fightback activists went out to show solidarity and bolster the picket line in Guelph. Despite freezing weather and small numbers, the workers have shown incredible courage in continuing to hold down the line.

Join us on Friday, Feb 4th, 10AM-2PM on the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) picket line in Guelph, where a strike started on Oct. 29 over two key issues: wages and workloads. Workers have been experiencing drastically heavier workloads during the pandemic due to staffing shortages, and their wages have stayed stagnant despite steady inflation. Join us at 1005 Paisley Rd in solidarity with these workers to send CAA a message: workers will not pay for the crisis and will fight for fair wages.
