Guelph Community Foundation

Guelph Community Foundation We see a community that is smart, caring, creative, safe, green, fun, but most of all vital.

As a charitable public foundation, we have been working to support the Guelph area through endowments, stewardship, granting and community leadership for over 25 years. Vitality is the unique spirit that flourishes when people believe their community holds possibilities for everyone. It is put into action by people coming together, getting involved in community issues, and providing philanthropic support for causes and organizations.

This week's features Hope House Guelph CFC!🎒

Hope House was able to give out nearly THREE THOUSAND backpacks to children across 12 community locations through the Guelph Community Backpack Project! This collaborative program is essiential in helping low-income families send their children back to school with the supplies they need and the confidence to succeed. 📚

From selecting their own backpacks to receiving added essentials like hygiene items, children surveyed reported feeling prepared and included, with 94% sharing they felt excited and 95% saying they felt ready for school.😊 We are grateful to have been able to help fund such a meaningful initiative that removes barriers and helps every child start the school year ready to learn!
