U of G librarian, Amber Allen, has been shortlisted for the 2026 CBC Short Story Prize. Her story, Pattern Recognition, is about a mother’s journey seeking a neurodivergence diagnosis for her child, while navigating her mental health, and the lingering influence of her relationship with her mother.

The 15th annual Faculty Writing Retreat is coming up! If you are a faculty, staff, or visiting/postdoctoral scholar at U of G, and have a writing project underway, consider joining us this year from May 4 to 8, 2026.
