Grcged GRCGED goes beyond providing resources and support for community members experiencing personal and academic crises and/or safety situations.

We develop a personal connection and create a space where individuals feel heard, believed and validated. GRCGED is a feminist group and community space dedicated to fighting oppression and promoting diversity through education, advocacy, activism, resource provision, skill-building, outreach and community-building on campus and in the region. On September 30, GRCGED joins communities across Canada in recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. We honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, their families, and Indigenous communities.

As a Centre committed to intersectional feminism, anti-oppression, equity, and social justice, we recognize that reconciliation requires more than remembrance. It calls on us to listen to and amplify Indigenous voices, confront the ongoing impacts of colonialism, challenge systems of oppression, and support Indigenous-led work toward healing, justice, sovereignty, and self-determination. 🧡🧡🧡

Take Back The Night 2026 🌙 was a beautiful gathering of community to amplify the voices of survivors of gender based violence.

We marched alongside them to take back their safety, autonomy and space in the world. GRCGED will always believe and support survivors and we are dedicated to opposing violence and oppression, to make safer spaces for all people. 💜💚💙
