Meet Laura, one of our wonderful BBBSG mentors! 🧡

For Laura, mentoring is about taking an active interest, asking good questions and listening to the answers.

Some of her favourite moments with her mentee happen in the kitchen, cooking favourite foods and trying new recipes together. She’s also loved cheering her mentee on as she starts high school and earns recognition for her writing!

“She’s a really neat person and she makes me laugh and
think about my own life and experiences with fresh eyes.”

Thinking about becoming a mentor? Laura says it best: “You probably have a lot to offer as a mentor, go for it!”

Making connections and exploring new spaces! ✨

We loved bringing together nearly 40 BBBSG family members, youth, mentors and staff at the Youth Wellness Hub on October 3rd 2026!

For many families, it was their first time stepping inside a space they’d driven past or been curious about. Through tours, conversations and a very popular round of Hub Bingo, attendees explored the space, learned about available resources and got to know the friendly faces they can turn to for support.

A huge thank you to the Youth Wellness Hub team for the warm welcome and partnership. Together, we’re helping young people and families feel more connected to the support available in our community. 👏
