Through FedDev Ontario’s Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI), local businesses may qualify for up to $1 million in non-repayable funding. This 50% matching grant can support:

With Canada’s newly announced Defense Industrial Strategy, there is increased demand for Canadian-made components to support our national defense sector. Guelph manufacturers have a unique opportunity to step into this growing market.

Through FedDev Ontario’s Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI), local businesses may qualify for up to $1 million in non repayable funding. This 50% matching grant can support:
• Moving into new sectors or export markets
• Achieving certifications like ISO or Controlled Goods
• Training and upskilling staff
• Purchasing new machinery and technology
• And more!

The City of Guelph’s Economic Development team can connect you directly with FedDev advisors who understand current defense contract needs and can guide you through funding and certification requirements.

Calling all Guelph Businesses! Applications for the Boundless Accelerator fund opened on June 16 and close on July 7. Guelph businesses are eligible to apply for projects that help reduce impacts on the environment!

The i.d.e.a. Fund™ program supports early-stage businesses & small-to medium-sized enterprises with industry expertise and seed funding to implement solutions to help reduce their impacts on the environment.
