Your voice and your vote matters!

Municipal elections give us one of the greatest opportunities to shape the communities where we live, work, and belong. The decisions made by local governments affect our every day lives from the sidewalks we walk on, to the spaces we gather in, to the toilets we flush.

When you show up to vote, you become part of a community working toward better. Better services. Better opportunities. Better communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Today marks Orange Shirt Day and The Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day dedicated to remembering and honoring survivors, their families and those we lost to Canada's Residential School System.

As a team, we are taking the day to reflect, learn and take action on our collective and individual responsibility to truth and reconciliation. In honour of today, we wanted to share the resources that we have used to learn more and deepen our understanding on the intergenerational impacts of Residential Schools and other destructive colonial policies on Indigenous peoples.
