Used oil? Where can you take it? Ok so make a phone call & get a solution I called 604 recycle and asked, apparently the program is undergoing a transition with some of the major stores like Canadian tire dropping out of the program. There are 3 places on the Sunshine Coast accepting household amounts. Gibsons Norris oil sales @ 1161 Sunshine Coast highway phone # 604 886 9663
Sechelt Columbia Fuels 5812 Sechelt Inlet road
604 885 1962
Madeira park Pender harbour diesel 13540 Sunshine Coast highway 604 883 2626
It's a good idea to call ahead of drop off to make sure as these companies are very busy during this transition! Any more questions 604recycle

I need help,....in the fight to stop people dumping their garbage up Trout Lake Road or..... anywhere for that matter. People are becoming more blatant in their dumping and more aggressive when you attempt to ask them to stop. Today I witnessed a black SUV ... ford explorer type heading up the road with a utility trailer full of wood waste..ie old fencing type matierial, boards with nails and carpet tack boards, etc. I got up to the old log sort site and saw exhaust hanging in the air. I turned in ...past the large area ,travelled to left over towards an open area where people have dumped and torched an old trailer and miscellaneous garbage and branches and there she was ...5' 8" badly dyed black hair approx 200 lbs and her "friend" was driving a black ford f150 with an N on the tailgate and Harley Davidson sticker in back window, I got out took a pic of his lic. plate and proceeded closer to her trailer to take a pic of that.."she" came running at me and grabbed ny phone...we both held on tight and I asked her if she was gonna dump that sruff and sher got real uotight about it AND SAID NO she was just trying to get turned around

July 1st I see this truck heading"down" Trout Lake Road. It appears to be loaded down with every annoying piece of garbage I've seen on my trail rides this year.
I'm on my way to a dinner party and see him at the Halfmoon Bay store...I have to ask.."What's up?"
Well.. let me introduce Chad...it seems he was trying to make a go of selling scrap metal and has been collecting it from the junk people litter our beautiful forests with. The only problem is...unlike "those people" Chad has a conscious and it bothered him to take what he needed and leave the crap behind ...so he took all of it. I will be trying to help him take it to the dump and have the fee waived as I can attest to this crap not being his.
So I asked to shake his hand and take his picture so I could report something positive toward our environment and because he truly made my Canada Day! Thank you Chad!
