🌟 Smile Cookie Campaign Success!🌟

Thanks to the generous support from Paige Chapman and Mike Garland, new owners of Tim Hortons in Haliburton and Minden, we received an incredible $10,322! 🎉🍪 These funds will enable us to buy two new dental x-ray machines. 🦷✨

We're honoured to have the community's support, ensuring we maintain a high standard of care at VDO. Since our founding in 2011, we've registered 11,727 appointments, helped 1,273 patients, and completed nearly $4.4 million in free dentistry. This year alone, we've completed 1,084 procedures totalling just under $174,000.

Thank you to everyone involved for making a difference! Together, we're creating a healthier community. Special thanks to The Highlander for covering our recent Smile Cookie campaign and sharing our recent developments. 📰💙

🌟 Honouring Dr. Michael Proctor's 10+ Years of Dedication 🌟

On Oct. 30, VDO founding member Dr. Bill Kerr had the honour of presenting an award of distinction to Dr. Michael Proctor for his unwavering dedication and invaluable service to our community.

👏 For over a decade, Dr. Proctor has been a shining light at our clinic, providing care and support to those who need it most. His commitment has made a significant impact on the lives of countless patients who have faced financial barriers in accessing dental care.

🙌 Dr. Proctor's role as the primary dentist overseeing our Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program has been nothing short of exceptional. Thanks to his tireless efforts and expertise, the program has become a tremendous success, ensuring that local seniors receive the dental care they deserve. 🦷💖

📅 Dr. Proctor will be on hiatus from the clinic until April, taking a well-deserved break. We wholeheartedly thank him for his service and eagerly await his return.

🏌️‍♀️🏆 What a SUCCESS! The VDO's Lisa Kerr Memorial Golf Tournament at Blairhampton Golf Club was a hole-in-one success, raising over $70,000! 🎉🙌

Huge thanks to all the golfers, sponsors, and volunteers who made the day so special. Your support honours Lisa's memory and fuels the work of our volunteer dental professionals who do so much to help those in need of urgent dental care. 😃

⛳️ GOLF TOURNAMENT NEWS: We have renamed our largest annual fundraiser to The Lisa Kerr Memorial Golf Tournament in Support of the Volunteer Dental Outreach (VDO) for Haliburton County in honour of founding member Lisa Kerr, who recently lost her battle with brain cancer.

Lisa's unwavering dedication to the VDO and helping as many local residents as possible has been truly inspiring and motivating.

This year's tournament will take place on Thursday, August 24 at the beautiful Blairhampton Golf Club. As always, the net proceeds will pay for the operating expenses of our clinic, which is run by volunteer dental professionals.
