Well that was a Prom to remember! The Hydro Crew saved Prom! With no power at the start of the evening the crew (Jarett Rowden) came quickly and figured out a work around to get power for us so we didn’t have to cancel! We appreciate them so much!
It still turned out to be a great night with lots of pictures, dancing, awards, dinner and fun!
Thank you to the prom committee and Mr Collins for organizing it all, the grade 11s who volunteered to check everyone in and stayed to clean up, and to the staff who chaperoned!
We have a great community who comes together to pull off great things!

Thank you so much to the Haliburton Firefighters for coming to HHSS to demonstrate how they use the Jaws of Life to our tech and SHSM students! It was a great experience for our students to see what fire fighters do to help save lives and a reminder to drive safely so you never have to have them used it on a vehicle they are in!
We even had one of our coop students helping with the demo!

We are looking forward to welcoming you into our classrooms, while you tour our community & TLDSB partner booths, eat the amazing food from our hospitality class and then finish the evening watching our talent show!

HHSS is hosting Relay for Life next week!!

There are 2 ways to get involved:
1. Participate in relay and fundraiser!
2. Donate at relayforlife.ca/hhss

Relay for Life is a youth and community event striving to change the future of cancer. It focuses on raising awareness and money for research, while having an enjoyable day filled with entertainment, music, laps around the track, and more. Families are encouraged to join HHSS Relay for Life on May 15th from 12:30-7pm!
You must sign up before the event, online at relayforlife.ca/hhss

Once you sign up, you can begin to fundraise! You can do self donations and ask friends and family to support so we can reach our $6,000 goal!

Tell your friends and family and meet Hal High on the track to work together to celebrate, honour, and change the future of cancer!
