We need your help!

Currently in Canada, new families formed by adoption, kinship, or customary care do not receive the same quality of benefits as biological parents, including a shorter paid leave.

Adopt4Life—Ontario's Adoptive, Kin and Customary Care Association has been working with partners to advocate for a change, adding 15 weeks for Attachment leave to existing Employment Insurance programs for these new parents.
Attachment leave is about giving children and youth more time to attach to their new parent(s) or caregiver(s) to improve the long-term outcomes for them and their families.

If you are legally able to vote in Canada, please consider supporting this change by signing or sharing the following House of Commons petition! We are aiming for 5000 signatures! ❤

What can we do to keep our spirits up?"This is a difficult question. Potential ad...

But I also know that adoption has an ugly side. A painful side. I watched a young mom say good-bye to her daughter. And then as she was wheeled...
