The National Day of Mourning is a time to remember workers who lost their lives, became injured, or ill because of their work.

While we honour and remember the men, women and folks who have died, we must also commit to improving conditions and protections for all workers throughout the province so that other families don’t have to suffer these tragedies.

We owe it to every single worker in this province who is doing their all to take care of their family to make our workplaces safer. Every worker deserves to feel safe on the job, and to know that they’ll come home safe at night. They deserve to know that they have the resources they need to do their jobs safely and that when violations happen, they can count on their government to make sure the rules are enforced.
We owe it to all workers in N.S.
