Bravo Zulu to the sailors of HMCS St. John’s whose dedication and hard work made Run the Rock 2026 an outstanding success.

The team raised an incredible $195,000 in support of Make-A-Wish, helping grant life-changing wishes to children living with critical illnesses. The campaign concluded with a closing ceremony onboard HMCS St. John’s while alongside in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Congratulations to the entire team on this remarkable achievement.

Bravo Zulu aux marins du NCSM St. John’s, dont le dévouement et le travail acharné ont fait de Run the Rock 2026 un succès exceptionnel.

L’équipe a recueilli la somme incroyable de $195 000 au profit de Make-A-Wish, contribuant ainsi à réaliser les souhaits d’enfants atteints de maladies graves. La campagne s’est conclue par une cérémonie de clôture à bord du NCSM St. John’s, alors que le navire était à quai à St. John’s, à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador.

Three decades of service, teamwork, and pride. ⚓🇨🇦

On 24 June, HMCS St. John’s celebrated the 30th anniversary of her commissioning.

Since 1996, generations of sailors have served aboard the ship, representing Canada with professionalism and distinction during operations, exercises, and deployments around the world.

Today, we recognize everyone who has contributed to the ship’s proud legacy.

Le 24 juin, le NCSM St. John’s a célébré le 30e anniversaire de sa mise en service.

Depuis 1996, des générations de marins ont servi à bord du navire, représentant le Canada avec professionnalisme et distinction lors d’opérations, d’exercices et de déploiements partout dans le monde.

Working alongside our allies strengthens more than interoperability. It strengthens trust. During , HMCS St. John's participated in a series of multinational training activities that enhanced operational readiness while reinforcing the strong partnerships that contribute to security and stability at sea.

While alongside in Norfolk, Virginia, HMCS St. John’s was honoured to welcome Vice Admiral Douglas G. Perry, Commander, U.S. Second Fleet and Joint Force Command Norfolk, aboard.

Vice Admiral Perry visited the ship to officially welcome the ship’s company to FLEETEX 250, highlighting the strength of allied partnerships, collaboration, and our shared commitment to maritime security as participating forces prepare to train and operate together in the North Atlantic.

During his visit, Vice Admiral Perry also took time to recognize members of the ship’s company for their hard work, professionalism, and dedication.

Pendant que le navire était à quai à Norfolk, en Virginie, le NCSM St. John’s a eu l’honneur d’accueillir à bord le vice-amiral Douglas G. Perry, commandant de la deuxième flotte des États-Unis et du Joint Force Command Norfolk.

Le vice-amiral Perry a visité le navire afin de souhaiter officiellement la bienvenue à l’équipage dans le cadre de FLEETEX 250, soulignant la force des partenariats alliés, de la collaboration et de notre engagement commun envers la sécurité maritime alors que les forces participantes se préparent à s’entraîner et à opérer ensemble dans l’Atlantique Nord.

Lors de sa visite, le vice-amiral Perry a également pris le temps de reconnaître des membres de l’équipage pour leur travail acharné, leur professionnalisme et leur dévouement.

Today, HMCS St. John’s proudly joins Canadians across the country in celebrating Canada Day.

As a ship with deep ties to Newfoundland and Labrador, we also pause to honour Memorial Day and remember the courage and sacrifice of those who served at Beaumont-Hamel. Lest we forget 🍁.



Aujourd’hui, le NCSM St. John’s se joint fièrement aux Canadiennes et Canadiens partout au pays pour célébrer la fête du Canada.

En tant que navire ayant des liens profonds avec Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, nous prenons également un moment pour souligner le jour du Souvenir et nous rappeler le courage et le sacrifice de ceux qui ont servi à Beaumont-Hamel. N’oublions jamais 🍁.
