Another CareFREE Giveaway is in the books! 👖👗👕📚

We are so proud to support this event, which takes place three times annually. Divine Mercy Parish accepts donated clothing and household items, and invites the community to “shop” for any items they need, completely FREE!

Volunteers sort and organize donations for weeks ahead of the event, while supporting the flow and cleanliness throughout the weekend. Several of our members contribute their time and efforts to make this happen and many members personally donate items.

Leftover items from our upcoming Sip & Swap on November 5th will be donated for the next CareFREE Giveaway in the new year!

Several of our members proudly volunteered their time on Sunday in support of Light the Night for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, Atlantic Region! 🏮

This incredibly moving event celebrates survivors of blood cancers, honours those who have been lost, and raises important funds to continue the fight. This year, over $776,000 was raised, which will help with research and with support programs for patients and their families.

Our members are proud to be once again supporting the CMHA Halifax-Dartmouth Branch for the 28th Annual Mosaic for Mental Health!

This year's mosaic, themed "Kindness", features 1232 pieces of artwork donated by artists of all ages and skill levels who care about mental health. The artwork is displayed at the Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing now through October 24th, and is ultimately for sale at $35 each regardless of the piece. Funds raised support mental health and social connection programming in HRM.

Our member Julie was proud to volunteer at The North Grove last week bottling up preserves that will be sold as part of their "Primrose Preserves" fundraiser.

The North Grove is a crucial community hub in North Dartmouth, providing over 27,000 meals and snacks annually and helping to distribute over 75,000 pounds of produce through their subsidized community market.

Our member Laura has been a ⭐️ SUPERSTAR ⭐️ volunteer 50/50 seller at several recent Halifax Mooseheads games in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, Atlantic Region!

Fun fact - if you are the volunteer who sold the winning ticket, you get a star added to your name badge. ⭐️ Laura is starting to collect them, as she has now TWICE sold the lucky winning ticket!
