The upgraded bike track is now complete and ready to ride. A huge thanks to Brad, Corey, and Kyle of Enterra Hardscapes for all their hard work to bring this project in on time and on budget. Some before & after photos below for comparison.

We're still waiting on the signs to be delivered, but in the meantime here's the "Etiquette" for using the track.

1) Helmets are MANDATORY
2) Don’t ride when it’s wet & muddy
3) Ride within your abilities
4) Ride down to the end on the jumps and use the gravel path in the center as the return
5) Don’t change the jumps – they were built this way on purpose
6) DO NOT put gravel or crusher dust on the track – this makes the jumps slippery and dangerous
7) Report any damage or needed repairs to [email protected], please don’t try to fix it yourself, we have experts for that!
8) Have fun!

Unfortunately, we had another incident of vandalism at the park last weekend – motorcycles tore up the ballfield again just in time for the Gold Rush Days ball tournament – a huge thanks to the volunteers and players who repaired it before the games started. Tracks were also noted running through the recently rebuilt volleyball courts and the under construction bike park.

The photos (we have the high-res images) show that we had some late night motorcycle visitors around 2:00 AM over the weekend, if anyone recognizes them or knows their parents, please inform them that the motorized vehicles are NOT permitted in McDonald Sports Park and that additional security cameras will be added to the park in the near future.

We invite the public to suggest names for the newly upgraded bike park. Please feel free to suggest names of local residents who have made a positive impact on the communities of Waverley, Fall River, and Lakeview and either DM us or email to [email protected]. And no, we're not going to name it Dirty McDirtface😄. Thanks for your input!
