Day 7 - The team met up with the local cadets for the last stretch today getting into our namesake city! We were met with warm smiles and 2 Make a Wish kids in officers square for the closing ceremony! It was there that we were told that we managed to raise $48,000!!! Thats nearly 5 wishes!

We may be at the end of our 606 km ride but there is still time to help us reach the last bit of our goal at the link below!

Jour 7 - L'équipe a retrouvé les cadets locaux pour la dernière étape aujourd'hui, avant d'arriver dans la ville qui porte notre nom! Nous avons été accueillis avec des sourires chaleureux et deux enfants de l'association Make-A-Wish étaient présents sur la place des officiers pour la cérémonie de clôture! C'est là que nous avons appris que nous avions réussi à récolter 48 000 $! De quoi réaliser presque 5 vœux!

Day 6 - The weather wasn't meant to hold out forever so while we didnt bike today we took the opertunity to fundraiser at 6 different locations today across oromocto and fredericton! One of which was gagetown who's generosity and kindness really showed. We would also like to thank the the Honourable Louise Imbeault, lieutenant govenor of new brunswick for hosting us this evening. Tommorow is the final stretch into Fredericton ending in officers sqaure.

Jour 6 - La météo n'allait pas durer éternellement, alors même si nous n'avons pas fait de vélo aujourd'hui, nous en avons profité pour collecter des fonds dans 6 endroits différents à Oromocto et Fredericton ! L'un d'eux était à Gagetown, où la générosité et la gentillesse étaient vraiment remarquables. Nous tenons également à remercier l’honorable Louise Imbeault, lieutenante-gouverneure du Nouveau-Brunswick, de nous avoir accueillis ce soir. Demain, dernière étape jusqu'à Fredericton, arrivée à Officers Square.

Day 4 - Today we biked 150km from miramichi to Moncton, our longest ride yet! Thankfully the team was able to to enjoy some time with the awesome locals playing pool at doolys.

Tommorow we are off to Saint John on our hilliest stretch yet!

Jour 4 - Aujourd'hui, nous avons parcouru 150 km à vélo de Miramichi à Moncton, notre plus longue étape jusqu'à présent ! Heureusement, l'équipe a pu passer un agréable moment avec les sympathiques habitants en jouant au billard chez Doolys.

Demain, nous partons pour Saint John, avec l'étape la plus vallonnée jusqu'à présent!

Day 3 - We made it into Miramichi and had a great fundraising day thanks to all the great people who live here. We spent the evening raising money at timber ship brewing with some trivia. The team was doing well until they brought out the fishing trivia...

Tommorow we are off to Moncton 150 km away!

Jour 3 - Nous sommes arrivés à Miramichi et avons passé une excellente journée de collecte de fonds grâce à tous les habitants. Nous avons passé la soirée à récolter des fonds à la brasserie Timber Ship Brewing, avec un quiz. L'équipe se débrouillait bien jusqu'à ce qu'ils proposent le quiz sur la pêche…

Demain, départ pour Moncton, à 150 km!

Day 2- 105 km biked today from campbellton to bathurst. Special thanks to 13 barrels brewing for hosting a great bingo night!
Tommorow we are heading into miramichi to test our IQ with PQ and the crew at the trivia fundraiser at timber ship brewing!

After years of dedicated service at sea, HMCS Fredericton is heading into a well-deserved refit period. Over the next couple of years, our ship will undergo important maintenance and upgrades to ensure she remains ready to serve Canada for years to come.

A heartfelt thank you to the ship’s company, their families, and all those who support Freddy—your hard work and commitment make this possible. ⚓️💙



Après plusieurs années de service dévoué en mer, le NCSM Fredericton entreprend une période de travaux bien méritée. Au cours des prochaines années, notre navire subira des travaux d’entretien et de modernisation importants afin de demeurer prêt à servir le Canada pour longtemps encore.
