What's better on a summer day than smores?! This science group worked together to build their very own solar ovens to use the sun to cook their smores.

It is phenomenal to see people work together to accomplish a tasty goal when their hard work pays off!

This month, we celebrate the strength, diversity, and contributions of people with disabilities while recognizing that disability is a natural and valuable part of the human experience.

Disability Pride Month is about more than awareness, it's about fostering inclusion, challenging barriers, and creating communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. It reminds us that accessibility, equity, and belonging should be priorities every day, not just this month.

It's no surprise to us that Rygiel has amazing employees! But how special is it when those who work together recognize each other and the spark they add to Rygiel.

This spotlight comes from a fellow colleague of Denise➡

"I would like to take a moment to recognize Denise for the exceptional work she does and the positive impact she has had within the home.

Since the time I began working alongside Denise, I have witnessed remarkable improvements in the overall atmosphere, organization, and day-to-day operations of the home. Her dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for both the residents and staff are evident in everything she does.

Denise consistently leads by example. She demonstrates a strong work ethic, maintains high standards, and approaches challenges with a positive and solution-focused attitude. Her ability to support others, remain calm under pressure, and ensure that tasks are completed effectively has contributed greatly to the success of the team.

What stands out most is her commitment to creating a welcoming, respectful, and well-functioning environment. She takes pride in her work, pays attention to details and is always willing to assist wherever needed. Her influence has helped foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and compassion.

We're a little late in sharing our Pride Month message and perhaps that's fitting.
Meaningful reflection takes time.

As Pride Month comes to a close, we've been taking time to reflect on what Pride means and how it connects to our commitment to belonging.

While Pride is often celebrated through parades, events, and visibility, at its heart is something deeper: the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, valued, respected, and able to show up as their authentic selves.

Belonging is created when people know they don't have to change who they are to be accepted. It happens when our workplaces, communities, and relationships make space for every voice, experience, and identity.

This Pride Month, we're reminded that fostering belonging is an ongoing commitment, not something we recognize only in June, but something we strive to build every day.

To our 2SLGBTQIA+ people supported, friends, family members, colleagues, and community members: thank you for helping create spaces where authenticity, courage, and inclusion can thrive.
