The many irrigated traffic islands, hanging gardens, park entrances and gardens, and City Hall's Forecourt gardens have all been masterfully designed and maintained by them as part of The City of Hamilton's Forestry and Horticulture Section. Their work is magnificent and truly adds sparkle and beauty to our City! 🌸

Some terrific news to pass along: Hamilton has secured $572 million in federal and provincial funding—the largest investment in roads, water and wastewater infrastructure in our city’s history.

This funding will help:
• Improve roads and connections, including Barton, Lewis and Rymal roads
• Expand water and wastewater capacity for future communities
• Support capacity for thousands of new homes
• Reduce the cost of building new homes, with residential development charges eliminated for three years and
savings of up to $100,442 per home intended to be passed on to buyers
• Create opportunities for local construction workers and skilled trades

This is an important investment in Hamilton’s growth, housing supply and affordability, helping us build the
infrastructure our communities need today and for the future.

The Greater Hamilton Health Network and Hamilton Family Health Team are working to connect eligible Hamilton residents with a primary care provider. Individuals can contact the Hamilton Family Health Team directly, or community service providers can submit a referral.

Look at the beautiful results of hard work in action. What a thrill to watch construction crews making much progress since last September's groundbreaking event!

This exciting redevelopment project by Hamilton East Kiwanis Non-Profit Homes Inc. is a Ward 7 housing intensification project that will offer roughly 40 Rent-Geared-to-Income units; 11 units at or below 67% Average Market Rent and 75 units at or below 125% of Average Market Rent.

I'm very proud of this Hamilton/Ward 7 affordable housing success story!

Kudos to Kiwanis Homes CEO Brian Sibley, City of Hamilton Housing Secretariat Team, the dedicated workers and tradespeople on-site, and everyone involved in this project's imminent success!

A special thank you to the nearby Ward 7 residents who have patiently withstood temporary inconveniences that are often part and parcel of neighbouring construction. 🙏

Striving for a winter 2027 completion, with fingers crossed! 🤞
