Congratulations

This morning after 32 years of dedication to the fire service, Firefighter Scott Dunbar was piped out, formally marking the beginning of his retirement.

Scott began his fire service career in 1994 as a volunteer firefighter with the Bradley Lake Fire Department. In May 2001, he joined the Rothesay Regional Fire Department as a casual firefighter before becoming a full-time firefighter in 2006.

On behalf of the department, we extend our sincere thanks to Firefighter Dunbar for his many years of service, commitment, and dedication to protecting the residents of Rothesay and Quispamsis.

We wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.

🚨Having essential items packed together and ready to go can make a big difference during unexpected emergencies.

A well-prepared 72-hour kit helps ensure you and your family have the supplies you need to stay safe, comfortable, and self-sufficient during difficult times.

During a disaster it may take a while for first responders to reach you as they prioritize those in the most desperate need.

Consider how long you may need to self-sustain based on where you live and the potential hazards in the area.

Prepare to take care of yourself and your family for a minimum of 72 hours or more if required. Be ready to shelter in place or shelter others who have to evacuate.
