Yesterday, Reeve Martin and Councillor Campbell met with Ray Berthelette, the Outreach Coordinator for the Westman Regional Cabinet Office and Matt Packwood, Executive Assistant to Minister of Municipal and Northern Relations, Glen Simard, to tour the municipality and review the impacts that the high winds experienced during the week of May 11th –15th had on municipal infrastructure.
The tour highlighted significant areas where dirt and debris have filled ditches and blocked culverts, creating drainage concerns throughout the municipality. Municipal officials appreciated the opportunity to discuss the challenges firsthand and continue conversations about recovery efforts and infrastructure support.
