Porritt Landing Marina Update 🚤🚤🚤

The first phase of dredging work at Porritt Landing Marina has now been completed.

The silt curtain is currently being removed, and both the boat launch and marina are expected to reopen at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31.

During this initial phase, the Town of Hay River prioritized the removal of vegetation to improve access and navigability within the marina. Additional phases of dredging work may be scheduled at a later date as conditions and operational requirements permit.

Boaters and other watercraft operators are advised to exercise caution and remain aware of changes in water depths and bottom conditions, as dredging activities may have altered the marina environment.

The Government of the Northwest Territories’ Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment is inviting Northwest Territories businesses to participate in a Business Readiness Survey.
The survey will help the GNWT better understand current trade activity, business readiness, and opportunities for growth across the territory. It is also intended to gather information on how NWT businesses are positioned to participate in emerging opportunities related to major infrastructure, defence, and economic development projects.
