Please be advised that on Wednesday, August 12th, a private contractor will be installing a residential water line on North East Side Road in the vicinity of Cow Hill.

Properties on North East Side Road, from the Boar Point Hill turnoff out to the turnaround, will experience a temporary disruption in water service. At this time, we are unable to provide an estimated time for the interruption. Updates will be provided throughout the day as the installation progresses.

Traffic through the work area may be reduced to one lane. Motorists are asked to use caution and obey all traffic control measures.

⚾️ BALL IS BACK IN BROOKCOVE! ⚾️

Looking for something to do this weekend? Come on out and take in some of the action as we welcome the U11 Female Slo-Pitch Provincials to Heart’s Delight-Islington!

The games are underway at Brookcove! Grab the family, bring your chairs, and come cheer on these young athletes!

Canteen services will be available, courtesy of the Heart’s Delight-Islington Recreation Committee.

To all the teams, coaches, parents, families and supporters, WELCOME TO HEART’S DELIGHT-ISLINGTON! We’re happy to have you here.

A special thank you to the Whiteway Shagrockers for including us and bringing the provincials to Brookcove! We’re proud to be part of such a great weekend.

And to everyone who helped get the field ready and looking its best, we can’t thank you enough! Your time, hard work and dedication are truly appreciated. It takes a community to make something like this happen, and we’re so grateful for everyone who pitched in!

🚧 Traffic Advisory – Water Leak Repair 🚧

The Town advises residents and motorists that Town maintenance staff will be repairing a water leak in the vicinity of 272 Main Road on Wednesday, August 5.

Traffic will remain open; however, motorists are asked to exercise caution when traveling through the area, obey all signage, and follow any directions provided by Town personnel.

📢 Office Closure Notice

Please note that the Town Office will close at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 31st, and will remain closed on Monday, August 3rd in observance of the Civic Holiday.

As the curtain closes on the 2026 Town Days celebrations, we’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s festivities such an incredible success.

To every organization that hosted an event, thank you for sharing your time, dedication, and passion with our community. Your hard work, creativity, and commitment helped create an unforgettable celebration.

To every volunteer who worked behind the scenes and everyone who came out to participate and celebrate with family, friends, and neighbours, thank you. Your support, enthusiasm, and community spirit are what make Town Days so special.

A special thank you to the Midway Festival for hosting a fabulous concert on Saturday night. Your hard work, dedication, and countless hours of preparation helped create an incredible evening of music.

A special thank you goes to the incredibly talented musicians who generously volunteered their time and talents during the Town Days Folk Festival. Your performances created a wonderful atmosphere and showcased the spirit of community that makes Town Days so memorable.

We’d also like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who brought a donation for the local food bank. Your kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference to those in need, and we’re grateful for your support.

From the opening event to the spectacular fireworks that lit up the night sky, the memories created over the past several days will be cherished.
