We're excited to partner with Vecova, Foothills Advocacy In Motion Society - FAIM, and the Airdrie Disability Resource and Awareness Centre to bring the Fall Social Dance for All Abilities to Airdrie. Everyone is welcome to enjoy an inclusive afternoon filled with great music, dancing, connection, and a complimentary hot dog, chips, and drink.

🌟 Win of the Week - Okotoks! 🌟

Every week, Ali, Jess and Ryan visit Opening Gaits Therapeutic Riding. They help groom and tack the horses, then spend an hour riding in the ring.

There’s so much more to the experience than time in the saddle. Caring for the horses and riding can help build skills, confidence and connection, while offering a fun and meaningful way to be active.

We’re grateful to Opening Gaits for providing such a welcoming opportunity and for the special bond Ali, Jess and Ryan build with the horses. 🐴💛

🌟 Win of the Week - Airdrie! 🌟

Today, we are celebrating the hard work and dedication our Airdrie FAIMS team has put into our community garden project at Monklands Community Garden! Throughout the season, clients have been involved every step of the way—from researching what grows well in our Alberta climate and purchasing seeds, to planting, watering, weeding, and caring for our garden. Now, we are reaping the rewards and enjoying our harvest!

This season, we have grown a variety of vegetables, flowers, and plants, including green beans, green onions, onions, peppers, radishes, zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, swiss chard, nasturtiums, marigolds, and sunflowers!

Our community garden has given us a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn new skills, work together as a team, spend time outdoors, and take pride in seeing all of our hard work pay off. We are so proud of everything we have accomplished this season and are already looking forward to getting our hands dirty again next year! 🌻 🥕

Meet Ben!

Ben has been here with us at FAIM for 9 years, and his 10 year anniversary is just around the corner! 🎊

When Ben isn’t hard at work collecting the town's recycling, delivering your weekly Coffee News, or volunteering at the food bank—you can find him at the bowling alley or in the saddle riding horses! 🐴

He is an absolute light around the office: always working hard, eager to lend a helping hand, and constantly making everyone around him smile and laugh. He’s a total joker (watch out, he loves to jump out and give you a good "BOO!"👻), but he also loves settling down to tackle a good puzzle.

Thank you for making every day brighter. We are so lucky to have you on our team.
