This week, we recognize Public Works Week and take the opportunity to thank the dedicated public works employees of Fundy Albert who help keep our municipality operating every day.
Public works is often most visible when something goes wrong — a road needs attention, a water issue occurs, snow needs to be cleared, a culvert needs repair, a facility needs maintenance, or an urgent problem has to be addressed quickly. But the truth is that our public works staff is making a difference every day, often behind the scenes, through hard, practical, and essential work that directly affects the quality of life of Fundy Albert residents.
Their work is not always easy. It is physical, demanding, and frequently done in difficult weather, under tight timelines, and in situations where residents are depending on a quick and effective response. Whether maintaining roads, supporting water and wastewater systems, preparing public spaces, responding to emergencies, repairing infrastructure, or keeping municipal facilities safe and functional, our public works employees play a vital role in the services people rely on.
On behalf of Council, I want to sincerely thank our public works team for their commitment, professionalism, and service to the community. Their efforts help keep Fundy Albert moving, safe, and well-served.
Please join me in recognizing and thanking our public works employees during Public Works Week.
