We are excited to share some highlights from the Sentolib Survey over the next few months. Sentolib is an international library benchmarking survey conducted with libraries across Canada and Europe. More than 200,000 people from 1,250 library locations participated, helping libraries better understand customer experiences and compare results.

EGPL collected feedback from 144 community members, both online and in person, and the results were included in the global study.

Our first highlight is our Net Promoter Score (NPS), which measures how likely customers are to recommend the Library to friends and family. This score can range from -100 to +100. EGPL’s response was overwhelmingly positive and far exceeded any benchmark:

⭐ EGPL: +80
⭐ Cluster B Libraries: +65
⭐ Canada: +65
⭐ Europe: +65

When asked "How willing are you to recommend the Library?" on a scale from 1 to 10, 76% of our respondents selected "10, Very Likely". See the comparison:

⭐ EGPL: 76%
⭐ Cluster B Libraries: 57%
⭐ Canada: 69%
⭐ Europe: 58%

Monetary donations and non-perishable food items are accepted at the Library's welcome desk at the Holland Landing, Mount Albert, or Queensville Branches during Library open hours. We kindly ask that any large donations be brought directly to the Holland Landing Library Branch.

What is my Libby/Overdrive/Kanopy PIN?

You are now required to put in your library card number and PIN when accessing these digital resources. This is the same PIN that is used to log into your library account on our website.

The PIN is usually the last four digits of the phone number that we had on file when you created your library card. We encourage you to try all phone numbers if your current phone number does not work.

If none of your phone numbers work, please visit EGPL.ca and go to “My Account”. Click “Forgot your Password?“. You will receive an email with steps to reset your PIN.

Still unsuccessful? Please visit us in person at one of our library branches with ID and we can reset your PIN for you!

Today we celebrate one year since we opened our Queensville Branch! ❤️🎉 How exciting to look back on this day one year ago to an incredible opening weekend full of activities, fun, and exploration of a new East Gwillimbury Public Library branch located in the community of Queensville.

In one year, we have welcomed so many new library explorers and users of all ages and backgrounds. We’ve had so much fun running storytimes, therapy dog sessions, music-based programs with talented external presenters, community events with the Town of East Gwillimbury, and so so much more.

Cheers to hours of studying in the study rooms, stunning garden views in the kids area, laser engraving in the Makerspace, and everything else in between. Thank you for making it such a special first year at our Queensville Branch. ❤️

We're now open on Sundays at the Holland Landing and Mount Albert library branches!

We will be open on Sundays from 12 PM to 4 PM for our Sunday season from October 2026 through May 2027. Our Queensville Branch remains open on Sundays year-round from 12 to 4 PM.

Important update for Libby and Kanopy users:

Users will now be required to enter their four digit PIN in addition to their library card number when signing in to Libby and Kanopy. This is the same PIN that is set up with your library card to log into your account on our catalogue (usually the last four digits of your phone number!)

If you need assistance with your PIN, please give us a call or visit us in person and we would be happy to assist you.
