Join us for an engaging discussion on Inclusive Governance: Why Diverse Library Boards Matter with Ashley Shalmoni.

Drawing on her expertise in equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as her experience serving on the board of the Niagara Sexual Assault Centre, Ashley will will focus on why there is a need for diversity on boards, why diverse voices should consider sitting on boards, and what participants can bring to their own boards to enhance diversity and inclusion.

Whether you're a current board member, considering board service, or interested in creating more inclusive communities, this workshop is for you.

Throughout the summer, Jason brought creativity, enthusiasm, and expertise to our Makerspace, leading a variety of engaging programs and sharing his knowledge with our community. We are so grateful for all of his contributions and the positive impact he has had on our spaces.

We remember and celebrate the life of Dolly Parton, whose impact extended far beyond music. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, she inspired a love of reading by providing free books to children from birth to age five across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and more.

To honour Dolly’s life and lasting influence, explore some of our collection featuring Dolly Parton, from cookbooks, to children’s books, to her music on CDs.

There will be an expected internet outage this Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 at the Mount Albert Branch as work is expected in the Ross Family Complex. The outage is expected at 10:30 AM and should be brief. The following systems will be affected:
