Mrs. Klassen is back in the office this week. Office hours are 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Our staff team is busy getting ready to welcome your kids back to school soon!

First partial day for grades 1-7 - Sept. 8 with 10 AM dismissal
First full day for grades 1-7 - Sept. 9

For info about the first partial days & full days for kindergarten students, please refer to the email that Mrs. Haworth has sent to you.

June 22 - National Indigenous Peoples Day - This holiday is on June 21 but we will be acknowledging it on June 22. Students can wear red, orange or community apparel.

June 23 - Ft. Langley field trip - Mrs. Carpenter’s class (all day)
plus kindergarten’s Fiesta in the Forest
plus high school (SOHS) tour for grade 7s
plus carnival at SOHS - 5 to 8 PM. Activity tickets are $ 1.

June 24 - Outdoor Education celebration - we will be outdoors most of the day

June 25 - last day of school
8:45 - Awards Ceremony - your child’s teacher will contact you if they are getting an award. Please check in at the office if you are taking your child home early, even if you tell your child’s teacher. Thank you.

See posters attached. For library books, the first class that has all of their books handed in will win a pizza party!

There is a LOT of info to share with parents/caregivers today, so please check for an email from us today for lots of important info.

Thursday is our last day for MunchaLunch this year! Also, MunchaLunch lunches are CANCELLED for classes on all-day field trips on those lunch days.

If your student is not returning to our school next year please contact Mrs. Klassen to receive your credit or let me know if we can use the funds for lunches for other students.

June 16 - Canoeing - Mrs. Carpenter’s class (all day) - MunchaLunch lunches will be cancelled

June 17 - Canoeing - Ms. Hughes’ class (all day)
plus fun times in the gym for K-gr. 3

June 18 - Swimming for Hughes’/Dodd’s classes
plus fun times in the gym for gr. 4-7

Pease join us in thanking the following for donating items, funds or time to make today's Sports Day amazing:
- management of Buy-Low & Save-On-Foods - they donated a lot of food plus gift cards!
- Chawathil First Nation
- volunteers - parents/caregivers and students from SOHS (high school)
- anyone who contributed Buy-Low or Save-On-Foods receipts so that we could exchange them for gift cards (please note that this program will no longer operate for Buy-Low so, going forward, we are only collecting Save-On-Foods receipts)
