Spooky Camp is going to be so much fun! We have messy projects and nice weather outings lined up, so please make sure that your child brings play clothes that you won't mind if they get stained to aim to keep their costumes in good condition. Our art smocks and shirts may allow paint through on the edges or to soak through.
Please make sure to email your registration forms to [email protected] to save your spot, and to make it easy on staff to keep track of registrations while they are working and not on their personal time or on leave.
We are still seeking funds to be able to run our last camp of the year! Please send eTransfer donations to [email protected] or donate cash in person.

Assent Vote Q&A: What We Heard, What It Means

The proposed Multi Use Gathering Centre is designed as a flexible community facility. It may accommodate meetings, events, programs, recreation, weddings, funerals, and emergency use, depending on future planning.

Concept drawings and layout options were shared at the Open House to help residents understand the general idea of the facility. Final design details would be developed only if borrowing is authorized.

A pair of bats had a visit to the Hudson's Hope Library in early September, with one library programmer speaking about the experience.

We have had multiple bat sightings here at the library in the past few days, so just a reminder that all bat species are protected in British Columbia under the Wildlife Act. This means that all species should not be harmed or killed, and like all animals should be treated with respect. If you do see a bat, please do your best not to disturb it with bright lights or loud noises. If you are able, the best thing to do is leave them alone! If you do need to remove a bat from in or around your home, please look up the proper protocol and be mindful of bat-carried diseases, such as rabies.

Bats are an important part of our ecosystem so please do your part in caring for these vital species, and use any bat sightings as an opportunity to learn more about them! 🦇

It's Party Time!!! Drop in to the library this Saturday (August 22nd) between 12 and 4 for our Summer Reading Club 2026 Wind-Up Party! Celebrate our SRC contestants and their amazing reading efforts this summer by playing games, making crafts, eating snacks, and taking home some really great prizes!

All families with children registered in SRC are invited, and encouraged to come to pick up their well-deserved prizes. We encourage parents to stay for the fun as well.
