Happening today! Stop by our library today for tons of fun, treats, and prizes! 🎉

It's Party Time!!! Drop in to the library this Saturday (August 22nd) between 12 and 4 for our Summer Reading Club 2026 Wind-Up Party! Celebrate our SRC contestants and their amazing reading efforts this summer by playing games, making crafts, eating snacks, and taking home some really great prizes!

All families with children registered in SRC are invited, and encouraged to come to pick up their well-deserved prizes. We encourage parents to stay for the fun as well.

We hope to see you there! :)

Our final beading session for the summer will take place this Saturday, August 15th from 12:30-3:30. If you are interested at all in beading please drop by to see what you can make and learn! Drop in for as long as you want and take home the supplies you need to finish your project at home. We hope to see you there tomorrow! :)

Beading again this weekend! Come learn to bead and enjoy some refreshments at the library on Saturday, August 8th from 12:30-3:30. This week we continue learning pe**te style beading and will also be working on personal projects, so if you've already got something on the go, bring it in and enjoy the company of fellow beaders!

We will also be hosting another beading session next weekend (August 15th) so please consider coming by then as well. These two sessions will likely be the last of our beading program as the summer starts to come to an end, so drop by while you still can!

More plants for sale! 🌱😁
I’ve got 20 different kinds of plants this week to bring to the Hudson's Hope Farmers' Market. All plants are for sale by donation, so only pay what you think is reasonable and know that all proceeds go to support our children’s programs at the library, including our annual Summer Reading Club.

We have plants for all kinds of plant owners. Whether you prefer low-maintenance or plants that require a little more care, if you need plants with an herbal use (like mint or aloe), or just want something pretty to look at, we have it all! Come take a look in person at Beattie Park today from 3-6 or at the library anytime we are open!

Due to being short-staffed, please be prepared for limited services and variable open hours at the library this week. We are aiming to keep open hours as usual as possible (except for today, see below), and for all programs to run as usual, but be aware that interlibrary loans will be slower to process and that we might take a little longer to help at the front desk.

We will only be open today until 2:30/2:45, so hurry in today or wait until we are open during regular hours tomorrow!

We thank you for your patience and understanding over the next week.

From 2:30-3:15 PM, join us at the Pearkes Center (10801 Dudley Drive) for lots of science fun with the On the Road Science World Team. Enjoy a unique show brought all the way from Vancouver right to our community! Come see this super fun, totally free, and all-age family show today!!

It's going to be a hot one today! Join us in the library to cool down your core! Our library is a cool 72° inside! (22° Celsius) We have plenty of cozy chairs to sit and read for a spell, or even just to use our free wi-fi. Feel free to bring along a friend for company. We are open 11-5 Thursday , 11-5 Friday and 12-4 Saturday.
We have a program this afternoon for our tween Summer Reading Club and Minecraft Club, so please keep in mind that it may sound like a lot of fun in here from 1:00 until 4:30.

We are beading again at the library this weekend! We are doing pe**te style beading again, this time specifically learning odd-count pe**te.
If you are interested, send us an email at [email protected] to let us know you are coming, or just drop-in this Saturday. This is a great chance to learn something new to do with your hands, and to try a new activity you might not otherwise have learned! We hope to see you here soon!
