As we prepare for our 2025–2026 Annual General Meeting, we’ve taken a moment to reflect on what an incredible year it has been.

Over the past fiscal year, the HDHF committed $1,301,124.00 toward equipment, programs and projects!

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our district health care and support our Foundation. Your generosity makes a difference. 💙

Have you observed the black, curvy structures situated near the facility entrances?

These are powder-coated steel bike stands.

These installations have been made possible through funding from the Foundation, in recognition of the growing number of visitors and staff who commute by bicycle.

Given the significant investment in bicycles, it is important to provide owners with a secure and reliable solution for parking their bikes for extended periods.

❤️ A Transformational $1.2 Million Commitment for the Future of Our Health Care

Today, the Humboldt District Health Foundation is proud to announce that the Lanigan & District Ambulance Association has committed $1.2 million toward future CT services at the Humboldt District Health Complex.

This extraordinary gift is both transformational and time-sensitive.

While the Foundation will not launch a CT fundraising campaign until the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health approves CT services for Humboldt, this commitment ensures we will be ready to move forward when that decision is made.

Thank you to the Lanigan & District Ambulance Association for creating a lasting legacy for health care in our region.

💚 A Small Bear. A Big Impact. 🧸

Sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest difference.

Failure Prevention Services (FPS) created B.O.B. Bears to spread kindness and brighten the day of a patient or client when they need it most.

The bears are a heartfelt tribute to Bob Pitzel, a dear friend and mentor to the FPS family.

Although Bob passed away in 2020, his legacy of compassion and caring lives on through every B.O.B. Bear that is shared.

The B.O.B. Wellness Program reminds the FPS team to "Bring Our Best" to everything they do—offering comfort, kindness, and hope to those they serve.

We are honored that the FPS team and Maureen Doetzel, Bob Pitzel's spouse, included the HDHF to support this meaningful initiative and help these special bears find their way into the hands of people who could use a little extra encouragement.

The BOB Bears are donated to the HDHF and sponsored by the team at FPS, JJ Stitch and Maureen Doetzel.

🧸 If you or a family member receive a B.O.B. Bear, we'd love to see it! Share a photo with the FPS B.O.B. Bears Team by emailing [email protected]. 💚

✨ Investing in Clean, Caring Spaces. ✨

One of the top five compliments we hear from patients and visitors is how clean our facility is. That doesn't happen by accident—it happens because of the incredible dedication of our Environmental Services team.

The Foundation was proud to fund a new ride-on floor scrubber for the department. They have been waiting a long time for a new one. The previous one was beyond repair.

This new equipment will help our team clean more efficiently while maintaining the high standards of cleanliness that help create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

A clean hospital is more than just appearance—it's an important part of quality patient care.

To our Environmental Services team: thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to keep our hospital shining.

And to our donors: thank you for your continued support to make investments like this possible. Your generosity provides our healthcare teams with the tools they need to deliver exceptional care every day. 💙
