❄️ Freezing Rain Storm Preparedness – Township of South Stormont ❄️

Environment conditions indicate freezing rain may impact our area. Residents are encouraged to take steps now to stay safe and prepared:

✔️ Avoid unnecessary travel and allow extra time if you must be on the roads
✔️ Keep a 72-hour emergency kit ready (flashlight, batteries, food, water, medications)
✔️ Charge phones and devices in case of power outages
✔️ Secure outdoor items and be cautious of falling branches or ice buildup
✔️ Check on elderly neighbours, family members, and those who may need assistance
✔️ If using generators or alternate heat sources, ensure proper ventilation

Infrastructure Services is monitoring conditions and will respond as required.

As we get ready for this year’s Ingleside Santa Claus Parade, we want to remind residents that Firefighters will once again be out ahead of the parade collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations in support of our local food drive.

To make donating even easier, blue recycling boxes will be placed along the parade route. Feel free to drop your non-perishable food items in any of the boxes as you enjoy the amazing floats.

Your generosity helps support families in our community during the holiday season. Thank you for always stepping up! ❤️🎄
