🔥 Fire Safety Reminder – RM of Riding Mountain West 🔥
The RM of Riding Mountain West encourages all ratepayers to take extra care when burning.
Please avoid lighting large, uncontrolled fires, especially in windy conditions. The fall brush and dead grass remain very dry, and fires can spread quickly.
Our Fire Department has been busy, and we are working hard to avoid implementing a burn ban. You can help by taking the following precautions:
✅ Check weather conditions before burning
✅ Think ahead and plan carefully
✅ Obtain a burn permit before burning
✅ Keep fires small and controlled
✅ Always monitor fires until they are fully extinguished
Small, controlled fire pits are permitted, as long as they are attended at all times.
