Notice from the IGC: Porcupine Caribou Harvest Data Collection Draw.

All Aklavik community members that participated in the Porcupine Caribou harvest data collection that took place between December 2025 and January 2026 have been entered into the draw.

It took many years of planning and negotiation, but the Aullaviat/Anguniarvik Traditional Conservation Area Agreement was final signed by the Government of Yukon, Canada and the Inuvialuit parties on June 19, 2024, protecting over 850,000 hectares of land along the Yukon North Slope.

The Imaryuk Monitoring program, the community-based monitoring program coordinated through the JS and led by the IHTC and THTC, was featured in 'The Nature of Things" episode, "Beavers from Above". It's great to see this invaluable program get national attention.

New hosts Sarika Cullis-Suzuki and Anthony Morgan take on The Nature of Things, the world's longest-running science documentary series.
