We’re extremely saddened to learn of the sudden passing of one of our former members, Kyle Mustard.

Kyle was a dedicated member of the Inuvik Fire Department during his years in Inuvik. His passion for public safety and community outreach extended beyond his amazing work with Parks Canada. Kyle will be missed by many many current and past members of the Department who were proud to call him their brother in service.

Last week Rick and Rhonda stopped by with their grandkids Austin and Everett to donate a bike helmet! We gave them a quick tour of the firehall and they even got a couple t-shirts for their donation.

Inuvik Protective Services has done our public duty and issued another positive ticket. The punishment: one small slushie!

This is Week Two of trying to get Google Maps to update Town of Inuvik Streetview 🗺️

We know they are travelling to Eagle Plains by September, and encourage them to continue their journey to the Arctic Ocean!

Whether we’re fighting fires, rescuing cats, or riding our bikes, we always wear our helmets!

If Inuvik Fire Department or Municipal Enforcement catches you on your bike wearing your helmet, we’ll write you a ticket: for a free small slushie at Northmart! Our positive ticketing campaign was a hit last summer, and we’re super happy that Inuvik Northmart is sponsoring our program again this year!
