We’re thrilled to now offer local honey from Westlake Farm, right in Toby Benches!

Nancy and Trevor Kinley operate a small apiary with so much care, and their bees produce a beautiful light honey with a delicate floral flavour.

Honestly, it’s some of the most unique and delicious honey we’ve ever tasted. Each spoonful feels like a little taste of the nearby forest and local wildflowers. 🌲🌼🐝

Come by and give it a taste — local honey, made by local bees, from just up the road.

Happy to be back to work! And a new surprise discovery underneath 2 layers of siding, what looks like remnants of a hipped front porch roof that predated the second floor balcony deck that replaced it. Large front windows likely replaced smaller ones after the porch roof was removed. So nice to expose the original wood siding still in good shape and get a sense for how things felt back in 1900. And even better, the thrifty builders of the time used recycled metal signs for roof flashing, which we were able to piece back together to make sense of somewhat; will post picture of sign soon…

🌱 New Farmstand wilmermercantile 🌱

We’re excited to share that fresh produce is now available at the new farmstand at The Wilmer Mercantile on Main Ave in Wilmer.

Our produce is grown using organic methods—no sprays, no synthetic chemicals, just healthy food grown with care right here in Wilmer.

This is just the beginning, with more to come as we continue to grow, collaborate, renovate and bring a new life back to the Wilmer Mercantile!
