"Back to school safety reminder." As students head back to school, the West Bay Road and District Volunteer Fire Department would like to remind everyone to slow down and stay alert. Obey all school zone speed limits. Watch for stopped school buses and kids crossing the road. Put your phone away and give the road your full attention. Our children are excited to return to school. Let's help make sure they arrive safely each day. Slow down, stay focused, help keep West Bay Road and District safe. Thank you for doing your part, have a safe and successful school year.🚌🚒

With all the rain we’ve received over the past 24 hours, road conditions are poor in the West Bay Road and District area.

Please watch for washouts, flooding, standing water, and debris on the roads. Drive with caution, slow down, and allow extra time to reach your destination safely.

this weekend, members of the West Bay Road & District Volunteer Fire Department were in Havre Boucher sharpening their skills by participating in an Advanced Vehicle Extrication Course.
We were proud to train alongside firefighters from Isle Madame, L'Ardoise, and Port Hawkesbury. Training together helps strengthen our skills, teamwork, and preparedness so we can better serve our communities when called upon.
A big thank you to everyone who participated, the instructors for sharing their knowledge and experience, and the host department for putting on a great weekend of training.
