A fun evening of crafting and our annual Christmas cookie exchange everyone went home with a large variety of Christmas treats and some decorations for the holidays , and the kids made a special delivery to the Irma seniors with a bag full of home made treats for the seniors to enjoy ! Thank-you everyone for joining in and Merry Christmas to all!

Had a great weekend at Alford Lake conservation education centre exploring and enjoying the outdoors. The kids and parents took part in archery, fishing , canoeing, shelter building and the gun range shooting several different calibre guns. We can’t wait for next year!

No fishing licence required this long weekend!

Feb. 19, 20, & 21 is Family Fishing Weekend. Albertans and visitors are encouraged to go fishing on waterbodies with open fishing seasons without having to purchase a sportfishing licence. All other sportfishing regulations still apply.

In December we did a cookie exchange. We had an evening of making Christmas crafts sewing some cushions from the old jerseys for the fans at the arena and exchanged treats. The kids shared some of their treats with the Irma manor residents and the Hardisty seniors. They also collected food bank donations and were able to donate a box of food to the wainwright food bank.
