In collaboration with MNRF lifting their Restricted Fire Zone, the municipality is also lifting the Fire Ban, effective at 12:01 AM on Saturday July 25, 2026.

Please be advised that the fire ban within the Town of Iroquois Falls will be lifted effective 12:00 a.m. (midnight).

Thank you to everyone for your cooperation. Please continue to burn responsibly and follow all applicable fire safety regulations.

Thank you to all who visited our booth during the 2026 Iroquois Falls Sports and Trade Show. In addition to fire safety and emergency management, this year our booth was dedicated to FireSmart Canada It was a great collaboration and we were fortunate to have the MNR send a crew of wildland firefighters to support our Wildfire Community Preparedness Day. The goal of the booth was to make Iroquois Falls more resilient to wildland fire. Remember: it all starts with where you live and applying the FireSmart principles to the Home Ignition Zone.

Please make sure your vents and gas meter are kept clear of snow. With the significant weather event heading our way, you may need to clear the snow away multiple times in order to ensure your appliances and meter function safely. Ensure your home doesn't build up with carbon monoxide and have working carbon monoxide alarms on every level and outside all sleeping areas. Stay safe everyone!

Staying at home today? Make sure it’s safe to stay in your home. Go outside and ensure your vents are clear so that your home is safe. While you are out there, make sure your neighbours vents are cleared as well, and ensure you have working carbon monoxide alarms. Over 65% of all carbon monoxide deaths and injuries, in Ontario, occur in homes.

Ontario’s Carbon Monoxide Alarm requirements are changing as of January 1, 2026.

If your home has a fuel-burning appliance, fireplace, or attached garage (or is heated by air from such a system), the updated Fire Code now requires carbon monoxide (CO) alarms on every storey — not just outside bedrooms.
