What could greater financial confidence look like for you?
Maybe it's understanding your money without feeling overwhelmed.
Maybe it's feeling more confident making financial decisions.
Maybe it's creating greater stability for yourself and your children.
Or maybe it's simply knowing that you have choices.

The Solid Ground Financial Literacy Program helps women who have experienced intimate partner and gender-based violence build financial understanding, confidence, empowerment, security, and hope for the future.

The program includes 8 two-hour sessions, delivered over four days, with a graduation ceremony on October 9. 🎓

Having control over your own finances can mean so much more than knowing what's in a bank account.

It can mean having choices.
Making decisions with confidence.
Creating stability for yourself and your children.
And beginning to imagine a future that belongs to you.

Our free Solid Ground Financial Literacy Program was created for women who have experienced intimate partner and gender-based violence, recognizing that financial control is often used as a form of abuse.

Through eight supportive sessions, participants will build practical financial knowledge while strengthening confidence, independence, and a sense of control over their financial future.

✨ It Takes a Community ✨

As we reflect on our Gather & Give Fundraiser, we are reminded that events like these are only possible because of the incredible people who step up behind the scenes.

A special thank you to our Elizabeth Fry team members - Danielle, Tara, Sidney, Dina, and Mel - who generously gave their time, energy, and hearts to help make the event a success. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

We would also like to thank the many businesses and community partners who contributed to our silent auction, including Lets Move Studio, Foxy Box, Rivershore Golf Course, Safeway/Sobeys, Bright Eye Brewing, Fledge Solutions, Karla Pearce Gallery, Gord Trembath, Ray Hellman, Karma Cleaning Services, Enbridge, Yew St Food Hall, Full Charge Cycle, Surplus Herby’s, Privato Winery, Kamloops Legion, and many others who helped make this fundraiser possible.

Everything we do at Kamloops & District Elizabeth Fry Society is strengthened by the support of our volunteers, donors, community partners, and dedicated staff.

When a community comes together with generosity and compassion, incredible things happen. Thank you for helping us continue to support women and families in our community. 💛
