A big thank you to City of Kamloops - Municipal Government for supporting and enabling the 88th Provincial Winter Fair, Kamloops and members of the Yale 4-H Club to today’s council meeting! We loved the opportunity to promote our upcoming 88th Provincial Winter Fair, happening September 18–21 at Circle Creek Equestrian Centre - just past Aberdeen on Highway 5A. 🎉

There’s lots to look forward to — from incredible livestock and 4-H exhibits to our 6th Annual Grapes & Grill Grazing and Tasting Event, Kamloops Provincial Winter Fair (2026), and of course, our 88th Provincial Winter Fair (Kamloops)- Live Auction! 🥩🐑🐓

❤️ It’s more important than ever to and support our local farmers, ranchers and producers. And when it comes to premium meat, you don’t have to look far — there’s delicious, locally raised beef, sheep, & poultry right in your own backyard!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Grab the family and come on down to the fairgrounds at Circle Creek Ranch in just a couple of weeks. There’s something for everyone!

4-H BC has been selected to partner with the UBC Sauder School of Business on a project to strengthen the future of 4-H programming in British Columbia. As part of that work, 4-H BC is running an alumni survey this fall and rebuilding its alumni contact list.

If you are a former 4-H member who participated for four or more years (in any province) and you currently live in BC, you’re invited to join the alumni network. Many of our industry’s producers, professionals, and leaders got their start in 4-H, and your story can help support the next generation.

Many people are reaching out, asking how to support farmers in this difficult time.

There will be many ways that can happen as assessments continue, things like alerting us to hay/feed availability in your areas to support livestock that are now needing overwintering supplies due to fire.

But buying BC is another important way to support farmers.

This time of year is part of an incredible bounty that our Province produces annually. So many great things coming from the Okanagan and everywhere else!

Get to know farmers in your area and other parts of BC, reach out and give them some love, and make purchases that lets them know we need them. Send them a ♥️ letter!

Please let us know in the comments who your favourite farmers/fishers/producers/processors are! Add their websites, tag them, and tell us why you love them!
