Our team recently made a trip to Toronto to attend a co-planning meeting between MCFN, TTN, and OPG. We also attended the 9th annual IESO First Nations Energy Symposium!

A variety of keynote speakers and panels were put together to touch on the themes of:
- Advancing Energy Sovereignty Through Indigenous Leadership
- Building Meaningful Partnerships and Equity Ownership
- Integrating Culture and Community Values in Energy Planning

One of the panel discussions included 4 Community Energy Champions from different communities and backgrounds, which had our very own CEC Brooke McLeod!

Connections were made with past, present, and potential partners during this event, as well as like minded people working in energy for their communities.

Members can also call/reach out to our department for questions!πŸ‘

Introducing Our New Logo!

We’re thrilled to share our brand-new logo for the Moose Cree Energy Policy!

A huge thank you to Moose Cree's own, Gerry McComb, for bringing this vision to life with their incredible talent and creativity, and to one of our excellent summer students, Arthur Koosees, for dreaming up the concept that inspired it all.
