Our final week of Summer Reading Club programming has arrived, and we’re ending the summer with a treasure chest full of PIRATE ADVENTURES! ⚓🏴☠️🦜

🎁 Saturday, August 15:
We’ll have a prize draw for young participants in our Summer Reading Club program — and we’ve saved one of our best crafts for Saturday! Come make an awesome Ocean-in-a-Bottle / Sensory Bottle to take home.
👀 Eye Spy & Scavenger Hunt:
Complete the Eye Spy Challenge or Scavenger Hunt between Thursday, August 13 and Monday, August 17 for another chance to win a prize!
🏴☠️ Pirate Party Finale – Tuesday, August 18:
There will be more treasure to be won during our Pirate Party SRC Finale!

Calling all pirates, deckhands, buccaneers and little adventurers!
Come dressed in your PIRATEY BEST! 🏴☠️
There may even be a prize for the best pirate costume! Arrr!
Our Little Pirates will set sail through a series of swashbuckling activity stations, including:

Before you sail off for the summer, don’t forget to bring in your completed Reading Logs to collect your Summer Reading Club Medallion! 🏅
And the adventure doesn’t have to end just yet!
📖 Summer Reading Club participants can continue completing Reading Logs into September. We still have some Reading Logs available if you didn’t get one!
🔖 There’s also a Summer Reading Club Bookmark Contest!

Entries will be accepted until Saturday, October 3rd.

Gather your crew and set sail on a 1-hour Pirate Escape Room adventure at the Kaslo Library!
💰 By Donation — all donations support the Kaslo & District Public Library’s New Library Project.
Recommended for ages 12+ without adult participation, or ages 10+ with an adult. Younger pirates have successfully enjoyed the Escape Room with their parents, but strong reading and puzzle-solving skills are needed to complete the adventure within 60 minutes.
