Are you looking for ways to be politically engaged and active at the local, provincial, and federal level? Welcome, to the Young New Democrats at UBCO! Founded in September 2012, we are a new student club on UBC Okanagan’s campus taking an active and leading role in youth political engagement with many ex
citing ventures already underway. As the NDP provincial and federal parties are connected, we as a student club have been, and will continue to work with the official NDP party at both levels. Also, as the UBC Okanagan campus is located within the Kelowna-Lake Country Provincial Constituency we are affiliated and working directly with that BC NDP Constituency Association! As an individual, you are of course still welcome to work with whichever constituency you are a resident of. You now also have an opportunity as a member of this student club to have an active voice in the riding your campus is a part of. Our General Meetings are always open to all and we invite and encourage you to join us and become actively involved in whatever capacity you’d like! General Meetings are usually held once a month, and we will keep you posted about the specific time and place. We are happy to be working with the UBC Students Union Okanagan, UBC Okanagan Faculty and Staff, the UBCO Political Science Student Association and other politically affiliated student groups as well as the BC New Democratic Party and New Democratic Party of Canada.
