Beading tonight! Join us at the Mamawapowin Métis Early Years Center from 5:30 to 7:30pm.

The Mamawapowin Métis Early Years Center is at 1580
Bernard Ave. Parking is located at the back of the building.
To get to the parking lot, you must approach via Elm street.

The craft & beading circle is open to anyone to join. This is a family friendly event and people of all ages including kids are welcome!
Supplies will be provided for participants to create their own beaded pins. All skill levels are welcome - if you've never beaded before and will need some support to get started, the event organizers will be happy to share their tips and techniques with you. You are also welcome to bring your own.

We hope to see you there!

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of James, a young man whose life touched many within our community.

During this difficult time, we ask our relatives, friends, and community members to come together in the spirit of kindness, compassion, and collective care. As Indigenous people, we understand the importance of community when a family is grieving. We gather around one another, offer our support, and help carry the weight of loss together.

A GoFundMe has been created to support James' family as they navigate this heartbreaking time. Funds raised will help ease financial burdens and allow the family to focus on honouring James' life, memory, and spirit.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to give, we ask that you keep James, his family, and all those who loved him in your thoughts, prayers, and hearts. Sharing this post is also a meaningful way to show your support.

We send strength, comfort, and love to James' family and loved ones. May they find solace in the memories they hold, the community surrounding them, and the knowledge that James will not be forgotten.
