Quick Update- Just learned we'll be on CBC Radio tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 8:13 am to talk about the documentary with Joseph Otoo. Catch us there and then join us in the evening for the showing!

Just a quick reminder - this Tuesday at 7 pm is our repeat screening of our original documentary, Su Terra Familiare at Mary Irwin Theatre in the Rotary Centre for the Arts. Two months ago, the story touched the hearts of everyone who came - the story of resilience, courage and cultural preservation written by the Italians who made Kelowna home. If you're Italian - or even if you're not - you'll find that this is something that rings true for every immigrant, finding familiar ground in a new land. The documentary captures the first hand accounts of those that came and helped build the city we love. If you'd like to share this experience in a beautiful theatre with your friends or family, this is your opportunity! It's coming back for a second showing. Our original documentary - Su Terra Familiare - will be shown Tuesday, August 25th at the Mary Irwin Theatre. This documentary explores the story of Kelowna's Italian Community, how immigrants found familiar ground and what it was like growing up Italian in the Okanagan. It touched the hearts of all who attended the premiere on June 25th. Join us for this evening of celebration and reminiscing. Congratulations to KCIC member, Mackenzie Ewen on being awarded the KCIC Bursary for 2026.

Mackenzie has been a very active youth member of our club, always willing to help where help is needed. She is one of our regular servers at Trattoria and always comes to assist with other events along with her family.
She takes pride in her Italian heritage, and we are so proud to award her with this $750.00 bursary to help with her future studies.

Congratulations Mackenzie and all the best to you as you move forward to post-secondary school!
