Did you know that the Kelowna Canadian Italian Club was one of the six original groups at the very first Kelowna Folkfest, in 1974? The club has always been proud to share our heritage and we continue to share this June, which is officially Italian Heritage Month here in Kelowna. Did you know that Kelowna had an Italian Club back in the 1930s? The hall was on the corner of Gordon and Casorso, where the White Heather Manor is now. This is a picture of one of the many gatherings there. See any familiar faces? If so, let us know (hint, you might spot a prominent figure in Kelowna's history in this picture). This is just one of the many Italian memories that will be featured in a new documentary - Su Terra Familiare - debuting on June 25th at Mary Irwin Theatre. Our Trattoria Dinner took place on Saturday, May 23. It was another sell out event for our Club!
Josie & Team created a beautiful Italian dinner for all to enjoy. It was amazing and no one left hungry😊
Grazie to all our guests who support our Trattoria dinners, the kitchen staff, servers, decorators, bar staff, ticket sales and take down crew!
It takes an incredible team of volunteers to bring these dinners together for everyone to enjoy!
Our next dinner will be in November.
We look forward to seeing you then!
