It's Wildlife Wednesday and this week we have

Monarch Butterflies🦋:

Keep an eye out for these majestic orange and black spotted insects fluttering around our park.
The native Milkweed plants across Rideau River are vital resting areas for Monarch Butterflies to lay their eggs before continuing their long migration journeys south in the fall.
Each sighting is a reminder of the important role our park plays in the harrowing journey they make each year.
