WCWA is celebrating the recent success of two individuals who have completed their treatment journey.

The program, which offers support and resources for those seeking recovery, has seen two community members from Wabaseemoong, Hannah and Bianca, successfully complete their treatment plans.

It takes a massive amount of courage to ask for help, and almost endless strength to complete the journey to a healthier lifestyle.

WCWA exists because we care. Because we care so deeply about putting a smile on your face during Christmas, here is a bonus video of WCWA’s very own group “The Misfits” singing “Jingle Bell Rock”.

During teambuilding exercises at the staff party, this group decided to form and sing their hearts out. We will let you know if they take their act on the road 😝

Merry Christmas 🎄 Happy Holidays ❤️

Although all of us at WCWA hope every day is amazing for the people we serve and work with, Christmas is the time we hope is especially happy.

If your Christmas isn’t going so great, here is a clip to help add to the Christmas cheer and hopefully put a smile on your face.

Here is the WCWA Dance Team (led by Rafael).

Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays ❤️🎄

WCWA’s mission is to provide care to the youth and children of Wabaseemoong by improving the standard of care and quality of life for its members which includes the reunification of families and helping to reintroduce the people to a traditional and healthier way of life.

Our Board of Directors and Executive Team realize that whilst they provide direction and oversight… the REAL magic workers are the staff at WCWA who work tirelessly every day for our youth.

We could not complete our mission without well trained, fulfilled, and appreciated staff. Events like our Christmas Party give both the Board and Executive Team a way to show the staff how much they are appreciated for the work they do ❤️ Thank you team. Merry Christmas.

Over this past weekend, Wabaseemoong saw the 7th Annual Honouring Our Children & Families Powwow in which hundreds of people came with their families to show us their moves!

From tiny tots all the way up to elders, it was truly heart warming to see everyone come together to continue our traditions.

Chii-miigwetch to all the dancers, drum groups, and volunteers who helped things run smoothly – we appreciate you more than you know.

We have hundreds of photos which we will be uploading shortly, but for now here is a sample gallery of the fun everyone had this weekend!
