The Treaty Three Police Service was first formed in 2003 as a self-administered First Nation Police Service consisting of 28 former OPP First Nation Constables. Since our inception our Service has grown and evolved into a professional Police Service with a Sworn Officer compliment of 89 Officers that are responsible for

policing 55,000 square miles of Treaty Three Territory in Northwestern Ontario, which includes 20,000 people residing on 23 separate First Nation Communities. We are proud to police in a Community that has strong history, culture and traditions. Our workforce is reflective of our Community and we greatly value the strength that this diversity offers. Cultural and Community programs coupled with strong Community connections are an important part of our organization. The Treaty Three Police Service continues to evolve and remains focused on addressing what is most important to our Communities. To achieve growth we have to remain continually connected with our past while working with the Leaders of our Communities, our Police Service Board, our Citizens and our Officers to address current issues with a forward thinking - strategic focus. Our achievements are measured through accountability, transparency, governance and communication with our Citizens, our funding partners and partner policing agencies. We are a busy and exciting Service that values personal growth and provides opportunities to explore different sections and work assignments. πŸ’™ Blue Jean Jacket Day πŸ’™

Today, Treaty Three Police Service stands in solidarity with the families, communities, and loved ones affected by the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Men and Boys.

The blue jean jacket has become a powerful symbol of remembrance, awareness, and a call for action. It represents the brothers, sons, fathers, uncles, nephews, and friends who are missing, and those whose lives were taken too soon. Today, we honour their memory, support the families still searching for answers, and reaffirm our commitment to community safety and justice.

We encourage everyone to wear blue, say their names, and help keep their stories alive.

If you have information regarding a missing person, no matter how small it may seem, please contact your nearest law enforcement agency or Treaty Three Police Service at 1-888-310-1122. Your information could make a difference.

No More Stolen Brothers.
Wear Blue. Say Their Names. Never Forget. πŸ’™ ^RF

This spring’s Awards Ceremony was an opportunity to recognize and celebrate achievement, heroics, and teamwork within Treaty Three Police Service.

These moments matter. They honour the dedication, courage, and commitment shown every day by our members in service to the communities of Treaty #3. Recognition not only highlights individual and team accomplishments, but also strengthens morale and reinforces the values that guide our work.

From acts of bravery to behind-the-scenes professionalism and teamwork, each recognition reflects the integrity and commitment at the heart of policing.

Congratulations to all those recognized at this year’s ceremony, Chi-Miigwetch for your continued service. ^RF

Today at Treaty Three Police Service, Chief Cheryl Gervais, Deputy Chief Trish Rupert, and Director of Corporate Services Kristine Gagne recognized members of our Service for their accomplishments and continued dedication.

As D/Sgt Justin Linklater was unable to attend the Awards Ceremony while serving in his role, he was recently presented with an Eagle Feather to recognize his promotion to Sergeant. This promotion marks an important milestone in his policing career. The Eagle Feather was presented in recognition of this achievement and to offer guidance, protection, and safety as he steps into his new leadership role within the Service.

Cst Betsy Linklater was recognized for 10 years of dedicated service coin and was also presented with the Grandfather Teaching Award for The Rock – Pagitentamowin (Forgiveness) in recognition of her unwavering support of Justin throughout his policing career.

The Rock teaching, unique to Treaty #3, reminds us that forgiveness has the power to heal. Like the rock (assin), which carries history and ancestry, it teaches us to release the weight of resentment and move forward in a good way with strength, understanding, and compassion.

Congratulations to Justin and Betsy on these well-deserved recognitions. Miigwetch for your dedication, service, and commitment to Treaty #3 communities. ^RF
