Our community paramedics are constantly learning new skills so we can continue to fill community identified gaps of service.

Do you have a story to share surrounding how our community paramedics have helped you or a family member?

Care doesn’t have to begin with a crisis. Through community paramedicine, paramedics proactively protect vulnerable people in their own homes, helping manage a wide range of conditions from chronic illness to mental health & substance use. This flexible, compassionate approach to care helps prevent emergencies, reduces hospital visits, and most importantly keeps people safe where they live every day by providing informed, nimble and comprehensive care. By meeting people where they are, paramedics strengthen community health, reduce system strain, and protect those who need it most, before a call for help is ever needed. Better care starts in the community.

Paramedic care is part of a larger system. Working with call takers, nurses, physicians, fire, police, military medics, park wardens, emergency managers & SAR teams, paramedics deliver coordinated care wherever you need them. Better care starts with teamwork.

Paramedics face challenging & often traumatic situations. Supporting paramedic mental health & resilience ensures they can continue providing safe, effective care. Thank a paramedic today, it goes a long way. Better care starts with healthy providers.

As a small token to remind our Paramedics that Mental Health Matters and that there are many agenecies they can reach out to if needed we are presenting our staff with Wounded Warriors Challenge Coins today.

CPR, AED use, and following instructions from Communications Specialists can save a life before paramedics arrive.

Did you know the community had it's very first 24/7 public access AED installed recently??
Its located at the EMS Base @ the front entrance in a green weather proof box.

Randi and Wendy maintain the local AEDs and are pictured with the new unit. Chi-miigwetch ladies for all your hard work especially running the AED servicing under the Community Paramedic Program!

Coming soon...another 24/7 public access AED at the Dogpaw water treatment plant.

We have partnered with the Naotkamgwanning CRISIS TEAM to provide CPR/1st Aid and AED training for them and plan to offer certification to communtity members twice a year.
